Chairman’s Message

Dear Friends, Members, and Visitors,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the website of the Bangladesh Christian Association of Connecticut (BCAC).

In the early days, a few visionary Bangladeshi Christian community leaders in Connecticut felt the need to preserve the unity, culture, and traditions of our homeland while living in the United States. With this goal in mind, a temporary committee of 11 members was formed on March 31, 2012.

Later, on September 18, 2012, an additional 7 members were added to strengthen the committee, and the name Bangladesh Christian Association of Connecticut (BCAC) was officially adopted. The first convenor of BCAC was Mr. Swapon Gomes, whose leadership helped lay the foundation of the organization.

In 2014, BCAC began its journey with an official executive committee, launching its first activities with great enthusiasm. Over the years, four more presidents and their respective board members served this organization with dedication. Each leadership team made significant contributions and overcame many challenges to help grow and establish BCAC as a strong and united community.

Today, under the leadership of the fifth elected President, BCAC has launched this official website to share our mission, vision, and community efforts with the wider world.

As a nonprofit community rooted in faith, fellowship, and service, BCAC has been a spiritual and cultural home for Bangladeshi Christians living in Connecticut and beyond.

Our mission is to uplift one another through prayer, worship, cultural connection, and community service. We aim to preserve our rich Bangladeshi Christian heritage while promoting unity, understanding, and compassion among all.

Through various initiatives — such as prayer meetings, youth engagement (seminar, sports), charitable outreach, and cultural celebrations — we strive to grow stronger in faith and build lasting bonds of friendship across generations.

As your President, I am deeply grateful for the dedication and support of our members, volunteers, and partners. Together, we can continue to nurture a vibrant and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and inspired.

Thank you for visiting us. I warmly invite you to stay connected, participate in our events, and be part of our journey forward.

Your charitable contributions are highly appreciated.

May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly.

In faith and service,
Andrew Gomes
President
Bangladesh Christian Association of Connecticut, Inc (BCACI)
